The Saturday

Saturday has a different gravity to it. The alarm stays silent, the coffee takes longer, and for once the to-do list can wait until Monday remembers it exists.

I spent the morning doing nothing in particular — which, it turns out, is exactly the point. A walk with no destination, a book I kept meaning to open, a window left open just to hear the street wake up slowly.

Some days are for shipping code. This one was for closing the laptop. Both matter. See you next Saturday.
