Of all the acrylic marker sets I own, the 60-color ENMY set has the best coverage and blending, performing at an artist-grade level on paper. Its palette leans toward sweet, bright pastel and macaron tones that suit both anime characters and landscapes, with one real trade-off: the box has few deep colors, which can sometimes leave a painting lacking depth. Here is what stood out in my use and unboxing Short, and where the set sits in my acrylic paint pen guide.
Coverage and blending: the best in my kit
Among all the acrylic marker sets in my kit, this ENMY 60 set stands at the top for both coverage and color blending, with an artist-grade feel on the page.
In my unboxing Short above, I opened the black case and used the markers on sketchbook paper to paint a green meadow patch dotted with small yellow and white wildflowers. For background on how ready-to-use direct-liquid brush markers differ from pump-valve paint pens in general, see the guide’s valve vs ready-to-use section; for how they differ from alcohol markers, see my acrylic vs alcohol markers comparison.
Pastel and macaron tones, and the trade-off on depth
The 60-color selection leans strongly toward pastel, macaron, sweet and bright shades. In practice, that palette works well for both anime characters and landscape paintings.
Where the color range holds back is at the dark end of the value scale. Because the set includes few deep colors, a painting can sometimes feel short on depth when you rely on this box alone for shadows and dark accents.
The black carry case and marker layout
As shown in my photo above, the set comes in a black carry case with built-in handles that opens flat on my desk into two hinged halves. Each half holds two slotted rows of 15 pens—60 markers in total—so every marker stays in its own slot while you work.
The markers have matte black barrels printed with rainbow ENMY. lettering and color-coded caps. Across the four rows in
the open case, the caps sit grouped by hue: purples, lavenders, creams, peaches and pinks along the lower left; white,
greys, browns and mint greens along the upper left; lime greens, leaf greens, teals and blues along the upper right; and
corals, reds, oranges and warm yellows along the lower right.
Direct-liquid feed, brush tip and surfaces (maker specs)
Each pen has a single flexible brush tip for variable strokes. If you prefer a separate fine nib on the other end of the barrel, look at a dual-tip set like the Pagather 72.
According to ENMY’s Amazon listing, these markers use a direct-liquid acrylic ink feed with an inner regulator rather than a traditional cotton core or a pump valve, which the maker states keeps ink flow steady until the barrel is empty and holds three times the ink capacity of cotton-core markers.
I painted with mine on paper. In ENMY’s words, the water-based pigment ink is non-toxic, fast-drying, and also works on canvas, wood, rock, glass and fabric or textile crafts. For non-porous surfaces or pieces that will be handled, see the guide’s surface section and sealing notes.
Who it suits and alternatives
Choose the ENMY 60 set if coverage and blending are your top priorities: out of all my acrylic marker sets, this is the one that covers and blends best, and its sweet, bright pastel and macaron palette suits both anime characters and landscapes. Just keep in mind that the box has few deep colors, which can sometimes leave a painting lacking depth.
If you want a lower-priced 72-pen brush set whose palette stretches from soft pastels to deep shades for landscapes—and you do not mind an undivided box—see my LET’S RESIN 72 review. If you want bright, vivid colors in separate pink trays where coverage and blending were only moderate for the price in my review, see my ARRTX 60 review, or compare every set in my acrylic paint pen guide and POSCA alternatives guide.
What I liked
- The best coverage and blending of all my acrylic marker sets, at an artist-grade level.
- Sweet, bright pastel and macaron color tones across the 60 markers.
- Suits both anime characters and landscape paintings.
- Hinged black carry case opens flat into two slotted halves that keep all 60 markers sorted by hue.
What bugged me
- Few deep colors in the 60-marker palette, which can sometimes leave a painting lacking depth.

Questions
How well do the ENMY 60 acrylic markers cover and blend?
Of all the acrylic marker sets I own, this 60-color ENMY set has the best coverage and blending, performing at an artist-grade level.
What is the color palette like in the ENMY 60-color set?
The palette leans toward sweet, bright pastel and macaron tones. Because it includes few deep colors, a painting can sometimes lack depth when worked from this box alone.
Are ENMY acrylic markers good for anime and landscapes?
Yes. In my use, the 60-color set suits both anime character illustrations and landscape paintings.
Do ENMY direct-liquid acrylic markers need pumping or priming?
No. According to ENMY's listing, the markers use a direct-liquid ink feed with an inner regulator rather than a press-to-prime valve, so water-based ink flows straight to the brush tip.
