The 90-color Languo 1 mm acrylic gel pen set (languo P650) is the only gel pen set in my
acrylic paint pen guide. Instead of a flexible brush nib, each pen puts acrylic gel ink
behind a 1 mm medium rollerball point: in my use, it gives good coverage with even ink flow across a bright, pastel and
macaron palette that is well suited to small details and mini paintings. Here is what stood out in my unboxing Short and
sketchbook page.
Good coverage and even ink flow for small details
In my use, these pens deliver good coverage and the ink flows evenly from the 1 mm tip.
Because the 1 mm medium point behaves like a gel pen rather than a wide brush marker, it is well suited to drawing small details and mini paintings. In my unboxing Short and photo above, I used the set on a sketchbook fan-art page filled with small character vignettes, coloring fine hair strands, small props, striped bowls and hand-drawn lettering directly from the tip. For how a 1 mm point compares with medium bullets, brush nibs and dot tips, see the guide’s tips explained section.
Bright, pastel and macaron colors across 90 pens
The 90-color range leans into bright, pastel and macaron tones. Across my sketchbook fan-art page in the photo above, those shades show up in the soft pinks, sky blues, aqua blues, mint greens, butter yellows and coral reds across the character vignettes.
Barrels, black trays and the Languo P650 listing
As shown in my photo above, the pens have frosted translucent barrels printed with ACRYLIC GEL-PEN plus languo P650,
color-matched grips and translucent caps that post on the back of the barrel while you draw. Behind my sketchbook, the
set sits organized in stacked black slotted trays that hold the pens in rows by color family—yellows, pinks, greens,
teals, blues, purples and browns.
One listing note before you order: on Amazon, ASIN B0GFLZLNLY is titled under the Ddaowanx storefront name
(Ddaowanx Colored Acrylic Gel Pens Set, 1mm Medium Point, 90 Colors), while the pens in my set carry Languo’s own
languo P650 barrel marking.
1 mm tip, ink system and surfaces (maker specs)
Each pen has a single 1.0 mm tip that the Amazon listing calls a 1 mm medium point and Languo’s product page calls a
1.0 mm bullet tip. According to Languo’s product page for the 90-color Plus set, the upgraded ink reservoir feeds opaque
acrylic gel ink directly through the rollerball point with no pressing required. Note that one bullet on the Ddaowanx
Amazon listing mistakenly includes press-to-prime valve-marker instructions, which do not apply to these rollerball gel
pens.
I used mine on sketchbook paper. In the listing’s and Languo’s words, the opaque water-based ink is odorless and also works on rock, wood, fabric, glass and ceramic. For non-porous surfaces or pieces that will be handled, see the guide’s surface section and sealing notes. For how acrylic ink differs from alcohol markers, see my acrylic vs alcohol markers comparison.
Who it suits and alternatives
Choose the Languo 90-color acrylic gel pen set if you want a 1 mm point for small details and mini paintings, backed by good coverage, even ink flow, and a big palette of bright, pastel and macaron colors.
If you want brush-tip acrylic markers instead of a 1 mm gel pen, look at the brush sets I own and reviewed: my Languo 60 review covers Languo’s brush-tip marker set in a sturdy multi-tray case with clearly separated compartments, which gives good coverage and leans toward deep colors rather than pastel or macaron tones (though the ink dries quite fast, making blending hard); my ENMY 60 review covers the set with the best coverage and blending in my kit (also in sweet pastel and macaron tones, though with few deep colors); my LET’S RESIN 72 review covers a lower-priced 72-pen brush set with a pastel-to-deep range for landscapes in an undivided box; and my ARRTX 60 review covers a bright, vivid 60-pen set in separate pink trays where coverage and blending were only moderate for the price. You can also compare every pick in my acrylic paint pen guide and POSCA alternatives guide.
What I liked
- Good coverage and even ink flow from the 1 mm medium point.
- Bright, pastel and macaron colors across the 90-pen set.
- Well suited to drawing small details and mini paintings.
- Black slotted trays keep the pens arranged in rows on the desk while working.

Questions
How well do the Languo 90 acrylic gel pens cover and flow?
In my use, the pens have good coverage and the ink flows evenly onto the page.
What are the colors like in the Languo 90-color gel pen set?
The 90-color set is full of bright, pastel and macaron shades.
What kind of artwork are these 1 mm acrylic gel pens best suited to?
They are well suited to drawing small details and mini paintings, such as the small character vignettes on my sketchbook fan-art page.
Why does the Amazon listing say Ddaowanx when the pens say Languo?
The Amazon listing (ASIN B0GFLZLNLY) is sold under the Ddaowanx storefront name, while the pens themselves are Languo model P650 ('ACRYLIC GEL-PEN plus languo P650' printed on the barrel). According to Languo's product page, the 1.0 mm tip writes directly with no pressing or priming required, contrary to generic valve-pen copy on the Amazon listing.
